THERE’S NO SHAME in having failed relationships behind you, especially when many of us didn’t have healthy relationships modelled to us as children.

Failed relationships do NOT mean you’re no good in relationships or similar.

RATHER, this is an invitation to go inward + tend to the parts of you that are still hurting AND to re-write your relationship template. You can bet there will be some beliefs + patterns that aren’t serving you sitting in your subconscious mind that have directly contributed to your part in the breakdown.

I also want you to know that whilst you may have been deeply hurt, not everyone will treat you this way.

There are some really beautiful, heart centered individuals around who are capable + willing to meet you where you deserve to be met.

START BY:

TENDING to the triggers that come up when you think about what happened or when you think about getting into a relationship again. Those triggers show you where you have unresolved trauma.

PLAY with the idea that there are people destined to be in your life who are SAFE TO LOVE

PRACTICE using alignment within your body to make decisions around trust

KNOW that you are worthy + deserving of healthy love 💓

Codependency is not just one trauma.🤯

Codependency consists of a collection of patterns that cause us to self abandon. So when it comes to dissolving our codependent patterns we need to address each theme individually.

I used to be codependent + had a gazilllion ways of self abandoning. It took dedication, time + the right tools to dissolve this patterning within myself. I now use these same techniques in my Practice.

I know a long list like this can be daunting, however I invite you to tackle one theme at a time + celebrate your wins along the way as you untether yourself one theme at a time. I use deep inner child healing to get to the actual origins of each trauma dissolving it at the core.

TO DEEPEN YOUR HEALING

1. Read the list above to yourself + notice which areas you recognize yourself, ie, people pleasing, putting others needs before my own, proving, fixing or caretaking etc

2. Make a list!

3. Notice which of those either causes you the most angst or has the biggest impact on your life - this is a good place to start your inner child work.

4. Look for effective resources to help you dissolve these patterns (super important!)

5. Set boundaries for yourself - so YOU don’t self-abandon

6. Engage a therapist you resonate with that has walked the path of codependency + healed rather than a therapist with an academic understanding only.

Familiar patterns feel safer than growth.

It’s no wonder stepping into new ways of being feels terrifying.
Our nervous system has spent years building these patterns as a form of safety. Even if they hurt us, they’re what we know.

Growth often feels uncomfortable at first. It challenges the old programming. But when you start to meet yourself with love, patience + grace, you’ll begin to realize the freedom waiting on the other side of those patterns.

✨ 5 Ways to Begin Moving Out of Old Patterns and into + Something New ✨

Journal Prompt: “What’s the cost of staying in this pattern? What might I gain if I allowed myself to try something new?”
Reflect on what’s truly keeping you there and explore what could open up if you stepped out of it.

Practice Micro-Risks
If self-care feels unsafe, start small. Cancel a plan to rest. Say “no” once. Let yourself receive one compliment without deflecting. These little steps begin to create trust in yourself.

Reframe the ‘Unsafe’ Feeling
When discomfort arises, remind yourself: “This is not danger; this is growth. I can stay present with this feeling, + I am safe.”

Create Consistency Where It Feels Safe to Do So
The nervous system craves consistency. Add consistency in one area of your life-whether it’s a morning practice, a grounding walk, or 10 minutes of stillness. This helps soothe resistance to change.

Journal Prompt: “If I could care for myself the way I care for others, what would that look like? What’s one step I can take today to show myself love?”

It takes courage to step out of the familiar, even when it no longer serves you.
Your inner child might resist, your nervous system might whisper, “This feels wrong,” but know this: You’re on the path to healing. Every small step is a radical act of self-love. 💛
